
Look at that! A plateful of Salad! Who woulda thought that I’d want to have salad. Ah well, it was really hot on that day (like 22, 23 degree, which is rare in London), and I had been having lots of meaty food in the previous week and very little veg. Even then – as you can see – the salad isn’t all vegetarian; there’s prawn and bacon. I also tossed a handful of toasted pine nuts and several splashes of homemade sauce (Japanese rice vinegar, Japanese soy sauce, sugar, sesame oil, olive oil, honey). Yummy!
(But I have to admit, as a person who’s used to big portions of food, this is clearly not working for me. I felt full when I finished it, but after about an hour or two, hunger started to creep in…)
